Why LANDR is not real Mastering
When LANDR came out a lot people thought it would be the end of old fashioned mastering and in a way it was. For those who believed that mastering means making things louder, LANDR was definitely a useful tool but only to a certain point. Real mastering is a lot more than making things loud - it's a process that requires communication and years of experience.
I have nothing personal against LANDR or any other automated mastering algorithms and I honestly don't think that these services are a serious threat to professional mastering engineers.
